Judges may feel pressure

Judges feel pressure from the fashion industry to advance taller models because of their stage presence and ability to draw attention. However, this is changing as the fashion designer wants more attention on the clothing than the model.

Designers have different stylistic approaches and techniques and want to show off those differences on the runways by clearly communicating what each model should do during the fashion show. As a result, models don’t control fashion shows; instead, designers give instructions to models about how they should move, pose, and act.

Conclusion

Pageants are about female beauty & glamour, talents, and how they interact with others. Their charisma is a vital component for contestants. Although fashion editorial/fashion runway can have glamorous elements, the main focus is clothing details. The main focus of a beauty pageant model is how she represents herself and her county, not her height or any particular physical attribute.
