Early Life and Education
From Centerville, Pennsylvania, Lindsey is a descendant of an Italian Great-Grandmother who immigrated to the USA.
Lindsey was an honors student and an athlete (High Jumper) at University, where she graduated with taking an interest in activism.
After graduating from Washington & Jefferson College with a degree in political science, she enrolled in a pre-law program. Her education continued in Italy and other parts of Europe, and she then began working as a professional model.
Pageantry
After being spotted in a shopping mall at age 12, Lindsey Coffey began her full-time modeling career early. She appeared in various fashion magazines.
That is when she first became interested in pageants like the Miss Earth USA, where later she would be crowned Miss Earth USA qualifying her to represent the USA in the Miss Earth world and eventually taking the world crown.
Later, she covered in Her World Vietnam in 2021, discussing environmental activism and advocacy during the pandemic.
In doing so, she encouraged others to become climate and environmental advocates. As a result, she has appeared on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar in Vietnam three times in the last eighteen months.
Miss Earth 2020
Lindsey Coffey represented the United States in the 2020 Miss Earth Pageant. The ceremony took place in Orange County, Orlando, Florida.
As a Miss Earth winner, she advocated social causes and the reduction of single-use plastics. In addition, she asked the public to buy local foods and reduce our carbon footprints. Lindsey Coffey also wrote in an informed manner about critical factors in the climate crisis.
Post Miss Earth What is Lindsey Coffey Doing Now?
She still campaigns for environmental awareness and has joined Miss Earth Australia (2020) Brittany Dickson to discuss the bushfires in Western Australia and help raise money for the victims.
In addition, she collaborated with Greenpeace and interviewed young women Farmers to talk about climate change. In 2021 she spoke at Earth Summit Day in Delaware.
Another project is Food for Life Global, which promotes a vegan food relief program with many other influential young people.
Sustainability in the fashion industry is another topic that she is passionate about, and recently she spoke at the Parson’s School of Design in New York.
Advocacy and Issues
In June 2021, she addressed a virtual summit in New Delhi, India, in collaboration with the United Nations.
In addition, the Listen First Project (America Talks) is a national event focusing on the political divide among Americans.
Much of her advocacy has been around climate change, and she recently raised awareness about water shortage and scarcity. She favors and advocates rainwater harvesting, desalination, and contour farming.
In April 2022, Lindsey and Michaela Rubinstein took the Green Europe project to 5 European countries, looking for businesses to showcase their platforms.
While traveling, they interviewed Vegetarisk, the Danish Vegetarian Society, which educates people free of charge about plant-based diets.
