Belizean Destiny Wagner
She’s from the beautiful country of Belize. Destiny Wagner is the first Belizean to win one of the Big 4 major International Beauty titles and the first black woman to win a major title in 19 years.
She is fluent in English and Creole. Destiny Wagner is a published author, television host, digital influencer, and content producer; She is an Independent publisher of her book “I’m Not A Victim: How To Overcome Your Past And Live Your Dreams,” which has been released by Amazon Kindle.
Miss Wagner’s interests and hobbies included traveling, learning about new cultures, Reading, Writing, listening to music, watching movies, and dancing. Destiny is a huge animal lover, and growing up, she had many pets, including dogs, pigs, rabbits, turtles, and even a squirrel.
Miss Wagner spent most of her childhood traveling throughout her gorgeous country in an RV with her parents and was early educated and initially homeschooled. Later, Wagner attended Primary School in the Toledo District of Belize.
Then, at 16, she moved to New York City, where she attended high school and graduated with honors. After graduating, Wagner pursued a career as a model while also attending Pace University in New York, where she graduated with a degree in Business Administration.
“My country has never placed at Miss Earth before, nor have we ever had an international crown,” she said. “So right now, this is what we needed, and I am happy to represent such a gorgeous country.

Pageantry
Her career in pageantry began very early, at age 14, when she won her first pageant, Miss Teen Belize, in 2016. At 16 years old, Destiny Wagner moved to New York City, where she represented Belize at the Miss Caribbean United States pageant held in New York City; during that event, she won special Awards during the finals, including Miss photogenic and friendship Awards.
She also competed in the 2019 Miss Universe Belize pageant on September 16th, 2019, held in Belize City. She was named first runner-up to Destinee Arnold, who went on to represent her country of Belize in the 2019 Miss Universe competition.
Miss Earth Belize 2021
In 2021 the Miss Earth Belize organization announced Destiny Wagner as the new Miss Earth Belize.
International Beauty Pageant Miss Earth 2021
She represented Belize at the Miss Earth 2021 pageant. She competed with more than 80 delegates from various countries and territories.
Destiny Wagner won Miss Earth 2021, succeeding the 2020 winner Lindsey Coffey from the United States.
Personal life

Welcoming Home as Miss Earth 2021
She arrived home congratulated by the country’s Prime Minister Johnny Briceño for her win.
On December 3rd, 2021, Miss Wagner arrived back in Belize after winning the Miss Earth Pageant. There was a huge celebration, including a motorcade welcoming her home. It was organized and hosted by the Blue Economy, the Aviation ministry, and the Belize Tourism Board board.
Mayor Bernard Wagner welcomed her to the beautiful City of Belize, bestowing her with special honor.
The mayor of (Punta Gorda, her hometown) declared on December 4th, 2021, that the street where Destiny grew up renamed named after her as a tribute to her victory in Miss Earth 2021
Destiny Wagner is a model, author, digital influencer, entrepreneur, business owner, and more Destiny is keeping herself busy.
Destiny was a publisher of two books, one of the main contributors, and editor of the Belizean Blues quick short stories in the form of poetry; it was a collaboration of some twenty Belizean writers.
As a model, she has been seen in New York City strutting the catwalks at Fashion Week in February, where she represented several notable brands, including, BeMade, Kirsten Regalado, and Vizcaya Swimwear.
Charities and nonprofits
Destiny and her family began a nonprofit organization called “Operation Kingdom” it raises awareness of Hungry children and unequal education opportunities and provides sustainable meals, school supplies, and toys for underprivileged children, all geared toward ending child hunger.
As Miss Earth 2021, she advocates for sustainable marine life and the conservation of Natural Resources.
She promoted the Belize tourism board during her reign, and they named Wagner its sustainable tourism ambassador.
Controversy
Destiny Wagner advocates speaking up against bullying and denouncing a racial attack thrown at her by Miss Thailand in an Instagram story on January 28th, 2022.
Miss Thailand, who has a large following on Facebook, some 66 thousand followers commented on her dreadlocks, stating that the African hairstyle seemed inspired by cow dung.
After hearing this, fellow competitor Baitong Jareerat, Miss Earth Thailand 2021 and who also won Miss Earth Fire 2021, supported Miss Wagner.
She publicly condemned the racial attack by her fellow Thais and called to stop bullying.
