Miss Germany, Jasmin Selberg, won the title of Miss International 2022 among 66 candidates from all over the world who competed for the crown on Tuesday, December 13, in Tokyo, Japan.
The stunning blonde won the crown at the 60th-anniversary edition of the Japanese pageant, giving her homeland its third Miss International crown.

Jasmin was born in Tallin, Estonia, though she lived and was raised in Germany all her life. Now 23 years old, she fluently speaks three languages (German, Estonian, and English) and has basic communicative competence in four languages (French, Spanish, Latin, and Korean).
Regarding Education, Jasmin holds an undergraduate degree in Philosophy and History from Ruhr University, Bochum. She has even published a paper about the romantic life of Matilde of Tuscia.
In the long term, she aspires to earn a doctorate in History, a dream that, as a dedicated worker, she is likely to achieve.

Miss International 2022: Duties & Responsibilities
Becoming a queen comes with a responsibility. Therefore, the Miss International contest and program was born in the United States to spread awareness of Japan in the international community.
In addition, it advocates for world peace and mutual understanding and tolerance between nations.
Miss International Beauty Pageant has a Fund that donates money to underprivileged children through Unicef and other organizations. It also partakes yearly in tree-planting activities to protect the natural environment (the “Green Campaign”), a cause that Jasmin Selberg fights for daily.
Thus, the beauty queen will become a representative of these kinds of causes, continuing to fight poverty, deforestation, and further related social issues.
Advocacy and Issues
In January 2022, Jasmin founded Queens Raising Awareness, a community that aims to collaborate with beauty queens worldwide to raise awareness around environmental and social topics. As a nature lover, this cause is significant to her.
The slogan for the project is that small actions equal a big impact. Jasmin wants to spread the word that every person can do their bit with small actions in everyday life. Quoting her words: “Just carry flower seeds with you and scatter them on meadows or bare ground in the city center” or “always have treats in your pocket for running-loose animals.“
Personal life
The German model has been renowned for loving animals and the environment since she was a kid. When she was eight years old, she joined the Meinerzhagen Equestrian Club and has been riding ever since.
Other hobbies include getting lost in art, visiting museums and exhibitions, handcrafting items, sculpting, and painting. She declares herself an animal and nature lover and enjoys volunteering at animal rescues and shelters.
